Wayne McKay
Wayne is a founding Pastor/Elder of Sovereign Life Fellowship and has been on board since the beginning in 2015, to the launch as SLF in 2016, and hopes to serve faithfully until his second retirement.
Wayne is married to Jeanette who is a retired school teacher. They have been married for over 53 years and have four children and eight grandchildren.
Wayne's heartbeat/desire is to encourage and enable every member & attender of Sovereign Life Fellowship to have a meaningful part in the fellowship and ministries of the church, regardless of age.
Wayne delights in the time spent with his wife, and enjoys gardening and traveling.
Wayne serves as the Pastor of Congregational Care of Sovereign Life Fellowship in Longview and is responsible for the following:
Congregational care which includes overseeing a regular member visitation program including but not limited to hospital visits, funerals, weddings, shut ins, nursing/retirement home and absent members.
Provides Elder oversight of the Hospital Visitation Team.
Preaches and teaches as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Assist in other areas as assigned by the Lead Pastor and/or the Executive Pastor.
