Lucas Wood
Lucas is a founding Pastor/Elder of Sovereign Life Fellowship and has been on board since the beginning in 2015, to the launch as SLF in 2016, and hopes to serve many more years helping lead the body of believers at SLF!
Lucas is married to Jennifer who is a teacher at Sabine I.S.D. in Liberty City. They have been married over 25 years and have two wonderful kids, Daniel and Leah. Daniel is pursuing a career in sales and Leah is a sophomore at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens.
Lucas’ heartbeat/desire is to serve Jesus for His glory and reach the city of Longview with the amazing message of the Gospel!
Lucas enjoys spending time with his wife & family, watching sports, participating at the beginner level of Cross-fit, and reading.
Lucas serves as the Executive Pastor of Sovereign Life Fellowship in Longview and is responsible for the following:
Providing administrative supervision to the day-to-day operations of the church, including supervision/oversight of all other pastoral & ministerial staff.
Providing administrative oversight/assistance in all areas of ministry, and all business/operations, which support the church’s overall vision.
Works alongside the Lead Pastor to assist and organize world mission efforts.
Works alongside the Lead Pastor to assist and organize local mission efforts (City Lights).
Preaches and teaches as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Assist in congregational care as needed.
