Joey Sutton
Joey is a Lay Elder of Sovereign Life Fellowship and has been a covenant member at SLF since the Hilton hotel days in 2019!
Joey was born and raised in Marshall, TX. He met his wife Wendy when they were both students at East Texas Baptist University; they have been married for 22 years and have two daughters, Annabelle and Savanah (both current students at ETBU).
Joey’s heartbeat/desire is to help people grow in their knowledge and understanding of scripture, and ultimately Jesus Christ, fully equipped for works of ministry.
Joey enjoys kayaking, English Premier League soccer, and spending time with friends and family.
As a Lay Elder at Sovereign Life Fellowship Joey is responsible for the following:
Teaching the Adult Focus Class alongside fellow Elder Jonathan Blackburn
Leading and directing International Mission efforts – primarily our Pastoral Training Center partnership in Kenya
Supporting the Executive Pastor in matters of budget and finance
Preaching on Sundays as scheduled
Assisting in congregational care as needed
